I'm feeling ever so grateful for my experience this past year and just wanted to show some customer appreciation. So here at Christine Wood Photography we want to provide some unique opportunities for new and old clients. All photosessions include 2-8x10 and 4-5x7 prints and an online gallery to all images. All photosessions should take place within the Twin Cities metro area and includes coverage up to four people.

I love Max and his parents. We did his photoshoot in his awesome backyard and cul-de-sac. I believe this is my third time capturing him in his young life. 1. Simple elegance. You can never go wrong with black and white.
2. YouTube saved the day. Tying a bowtie can be a bit tricky. But thanks to a tutorial on the internet we were able to tie the bowtie and the day went on :).
3. Family. I LOVE keeping the ceremony to just family and close friends. You'll have to check out all of the grandkids too on Julie's side. Very impressive number of children.

Jenna and John are now married. I have been looking forward to their wedding for over a year and a half now. I just knew that all of the details would come together in a seamless and beautiful way. I was not dissapointed too. I just loved all of their choices: the simplicity of having no wedding party, their stylish attire, the color red being a common theme in everything. But what really made the day special for me and their guests was truly, truly, truly...Jenna and John. I know their parents must be proud for who they have become. I know they are loved by their family members and close friends. This was all so evident on their big day. Jenna and John are by far probably my most favorite clients as I loved their creative energy yet they were so relaxed and so chill...I am sad that their wedding has come and gone. It was a perfect morning and we avoided accidents and injury, although I did discover a dead baby rabbit which prompted quite an emotional reaction from me. Can't wait until August guys!

Scot and Elizabeth were married on a super cold fall day (it snowed), which is just our luck as we also did their engagement shoot on a snowy, cold day at this time last year! The wedding was very warm and touching though as I will remember these things from their day:
1. Elizabeth and her dress. Elizabeth was beaming and happy the entire day. She's as genuine and sweet as they come. The dress, can you believe that her mom made the entire thing!?! It was one of the most memorable dresses of 2009.
2. The amazing touches of deep reds and burgandy at the reception. Very cozy and elegant.
3. The dance. It was a great party. Thanks to the DJ for working with me.

Super sweet Kelly and Tyler are now married! Here are some things I will remember from their day:
1. Kelly...she is all charm. I was amazed at how thoughtful she was. She was constantly checking to see if I was doing okay or if everyone else was feeling comfortable. During Kelly and Tyler's first look I stumbled coming down some steps. Instead of getting mad, we all kind of laughed at my clumsiness and of course Kelly asked if I was okay! Kind of embarrassing.
2. Holding hands. Kelly and Tyler were constantly holding hands. So sweet.
3. The ceremony was really joyful.
4. The goldfish centerpieces at the reception.
5. The dance was so much fun!!!! Check out some of the dance images in the slideshow!

Please meet Diane and Dan. Diane had contacted me earlier this year about her photography needs for her fall wedding coming up. At our client meeting I learned that Dan was currently serving in Iraq. The timeline for doing their engagement shoot was kind of up in the air as it was dependent on when he would be allowed to return home this summer. I was anxious to find out when he would arrive safely back in MN and was excited that we were able to find a time to do their shoot! Diane and Dan are really nice, nice people. Their hearts are warm and friendly. On our shoot I was also pleasantly surprised to hear that it was Dan's daughter that was featured on KARE 11 and NBC's Today show when they did a feature story on his surprise visit home to see her! I remembered watching the segments and putting 2 and 2 together was just awesome! ***HERE*** is the link to that story. Anyway, our shoot was pretty relaxed and fun for me as I got to see how Diane and Dan interact with each other. It's pretty cute. I'm looking forward to their wedding this fall! It was an honor to be a part of Amy and Kyle's wedding. I can't really speak enough to the kindness I felt from both families. It was a most perfect day filled with so much tenderness. It is 100% obvious that Amy and Kyle have such a tender relationship too. They treat each other so well. The wedding was filled with so many details that I loved. I am saving all the details for another post. One of the best details was the surprise presence of the bagpipe player at the end of ceremony. It was really fun and touching. Early on in their dating relationship Kyle mentioned something to Amy about wanting to have a bagpipe player at his wedding. She remembered. Finally, I have to mention how cool and calm both bride and groom were under pressure. It was quite amazing. Wishing you guys the very best! Love, cw.

Meet: The Cutest Family on the Planet

Meet the cutest family on the planet. I had too much fun on this shoot as there was plenty of laughing, humor, love, and well...goosebumps. You'll see in a second.

Sparkles, hearts, and pink nail polish screams all girl to me :).

Now is a good time to mention that we did this shoot when it was 40 degrees with wind gusts of 25 mph. I had no problems being outside because I had on mittens, a down vest, and lots of layers. But all of the kiddos along with mom and dad were in sandals and t-shirts!!!! I'm not sure why I love the next image. Maybe you had to be there, but it was so cold, the babies were crying, mom and dad were patiently trying to make things work, and I was laughing at the situation. Even in the midst of the cold chaos I thought they all looked so beautiful, together as a family.

I laugh out loud every time I look at the next image. Holding his sister's hand almost killed Zach :)
